Rasmus Klump @ Tivoli

On Sunday, I joined a Japanese mother's group here in Copehhagen for their event to meet up at the Tivoli Gardens. Tivoli Gardens is a world famous amusement park, and is also world's second oldest amusement park. Because the event was for children around 3 years old or younger, we went to the Rasumus Klumps themed playground within the amusement park.

But what/who is Rasmus Klumps??? I didn't know about it, but it is also a very popular Danish comic series that has been translated into many languages (I guess not in Japanese...?). The stories are about Rasmus (the monkey) traveling around the world in his boat with his friends - a penguin, turtle, pelican, and a seal.

The playground was very cute. Mio of course didn't know Rasmus Klump, but it didn't matter. She had a great time playing with some new friends her age - which I'm sure she's been craving for as the only playmates she has here are Yuto and me right now!

Unfortunately I didn't really get to see much of Tivoli, so I will have to go back. You think it's just an amusement park, but I heard it's very romantic at night. Hopefully I can report back from my own experience!

  2. Thanks Liz! Jonathan was wondering why I have to hang out with Japanese people even when we are on the other side of the world, but making new friends is not easy, and making Japanese friends is better than making no friends, you know... ;)
