Rainy Sunday

I don't know what happened to the beautiful weather we had a few weeks ago. It was raining again today. It was light rain, and Jonathan came back from a week long trip last night, so we all wanted to go out and do something together. First we went to see the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace. It was the first time for Mio to see the guards, and I thought she would be kind of excited, but she looked so indifferent - she was probably a little scared... The changing of the guard takes place every day at noon no matter what the weather might be like. Tough job in the winter...

Then it started raining quite a bit, and it was lunch time, so we walked back to the Nyhavn area, and looked for a place to eat. We were here once recently, but this time we went to a restaurant called the Cap Horn. I had a traditional Danish sandwich lunch plate, Jonathan had a steak, and my mom had some grilled langoustines (scampi). They were all very good.

After lunch, we went to the Design Museum, which was about a 15 minute walk from where we were. The museum was very nice and interesting, and we saw a lot of beautiful Danish design. Too bad it was raining, because it has a beautiful garden as well. Crappy weather, but overall a pretty fun day.
