Nyhavn

Jonathan left for a week long trip to Norway and Sweden this afternoon. But it was such a beautiful day, and we had the morning to spend together, so we decided to go to the Nyhavn (meaning New Harbor) area. Obviously the area is no longer new, in fact most of the buildings date back to the 17th century. It's definitely touristy, but very charming, and a nice place to hang out.

It was still a little early for lunch, so we walked down the Nyhavn waterfront, and to the harbor where the Royal Playhouse is, and from there you could see the Opera House across the harbor. On our way to the harbor, I found a very cute bakery, so we stopped for a snapshot. Too bad it was closed for some reason (couldn't read the sign in Danish...).

Then we came back to Nyhavn, and went to a restaurant called Skipperkroen. There were so many restaurants to chose from, so we just picked one that looked good and somewhat reasonable. Jonathan had a club sandwich and I had half a lobster. The portion of my lobster dish was quite small (and I was hungry!), I was a little bit in shock I forgot to take a photo of it! But he shared some of his, and I also had some of the kids meal's leftover, and in the end, we had just the right amount of food...

Single-mom in Copenhagen starts tomorrow...
