Today we went to the National Museum. There is a Children's Museum within the National Museum, and that was our main objective. We picked up a sandwich from a nearby sandwich shop, and ate it in the garden at the museum.
The Children's Museum was nice. Children get to experience Denmark's history by playing. Both Mio and Yuto were a little bit young to enjoy it fully, but they still had a great time. There was one room that is modeled after "The Kunstkammer", which was a room (building?) founded by King Frederick III to keep his collection of artifacts from all over the world. The room had a lot of little things like masks, figures, sea shells displayed on the shelves for the children to touch and play with. Yuto picks up a small metal jar, and then he suddenly lies on the floor! I don't know what that was about but it was quite funny.
On our way back, we stopped at a place called the Farm House, which is a little place near us with real farm animals like a cow, goats, horses, bunnies, pigs, etc. There is also a playground and a lot of riding toys, and this was already our third visit as it soon became Mio's favorite place.
