Since all I did was go to the park again (two parks, actually...),I don't have anything exciting to write about from our day in the park... So I think i will write about our apartment we are staying.
Our apartment is located on Amager-island, just out of the center Copenhagen. It's about a fifteen minute bus ride to the center city. The neighborhood is mostly residential, and we have a supermarket very close, which is very convenient. It is a two bedroom apartment with a balcony, and we have a great view because we are on the 5th floor, but there are no elevators in the building! I counted the steps today. There are 98 steps to get to our apartment!! Going up the 98 steps carrying Yuto, and a diaper bag, and a couple of shopping bags, at least once a day, sometimes twice or even more, is pretty hard! It is good exercise for sure, though. It must be pretty hard for Mio, too, as she has to climb up the stairs on her own, but I am pretty impressed that she does it without complaining, most of the time...
Another interesting thing about this apartment is that almost EVERYTHING in this apartment, except for electronics and appliances, came from IKEA! The sofa, dining table and chairs, beds, bed linens, pillows, cooking utensils, dishes, lights, everything! It feels like we are living in an IKEA showroom. It's not bad (except for the cooking utensils, which are pretty bad...), in fact the apartment is pretty comfortable with modern and practical design which definitely fits the style here in Denmark.
Here's a picture of a happy boy with IKEA pot lid cymbals.
Yeah, I definitely recognize that Ikea table/chair set... Very cute picture of Yuto!
ReplyDeleteYeah, not a baby friendly table/chair, as a lot of food fall on the floor from eating on the corners!
